Hot-Dip Galvanized Iron Castings & Forgings are Korn's Specialty
Iron Castings are our forte'. The predecessor of Korns Galvanizing Company Inc. was the C.C. Korns Company. Founded in 1916 the organization manufactured electrical conduit supports called "KORNS CLAMPS". Korns began galvanizing the, primarily iron, supports starting in 1956.
With over 50 years experience in the galvanizing of high quality castings and forged parts Korns can deliver the quality that keeps your customers coming back for more.
Cleanliness is very important to achieving a completely galvanized casting. Abrasive cleaning is the most effective method for removing foundry sand and impurities. Sand can be difficult to remove as it embeds into the pours of the iron.
Iron Castings come from the foundry blasted. This is usually a rough blasting. One that would be acceptable for painting, but not galvanizing. Korns has the blasting equipment to ensure your castings are "clean" for high-quality galvanized castings.
Our castings are typically for electrical use and piping. Made of cast Iron or steel weighing up to 700-800lbs. At Korns, we are capable of both large and small runs.
Shot blasting services of iron castings are available both for material submitted for galvanizing and also your other material. Give us a call for pricing.
